Five Leaves Left Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

KowaiBaz: This particular copse has become quite overgrown and is difficult to access through a lake of discarded cans of Dutch Gold. Not such a suitable location anymore although it is a really beautiful and diverse park.

Geocache Description:

"Time has told me
You're a rare, rare find.
A troubled cure
For a troubled mind."

Johnstown Park is a well maintained, spacious (12.75 hectares) public park in the Glasnevin/Finglas area of the city. It has a mixture of grassy areas and mature planting providing seasonal interest.

Five Leaves Left was the first of three studio albums recorded by the English poet and musician, Nick Drake. I have hidden this cache to mark the anniversary of its release on 1st September 1969. His other-worldly, romantic lyrics are heavily influenced by his rural upbringing, evident in his use of metaphor in nature and elemental symbols.

The cache
You are looking for a camouflaged container, hidden where the leaves fall, blending into nature. It is quite close to the path so please be mindful of passers by and rehide the box as found. There is no need to trample directly through the bushes and undergrowth; there is a convenient "path" to GZ if you look for it.

The container holds the Curse of the FTF GeoCoin retrieved from His right foot was never found, by THE_Chris, in the Dublin mountains.

Getting there
There is ample free on street parking in the area and it is served by the number 83 bus from Westmoreland Street.
