African Wild Cat

This cache was placed in honour of ChrisDen.
For your involvement in the PE caching community over the past two years. During this time, you have made close to 1500 finds and placed 40 geocaches. This is an exceptional achievement. Your placed caches include a good mix of Wherigo, Earth and Mystery caches. Your trig Beacon Series also needs a special mention. Well done, keep it up!

This cache is a small container hidden along the trail in the reserve. Many thanks to the NMMU for allowing us to use the NMMU Private Nature Reserve for geocaching. Please abide by their rules.

About the African Wild Cat:
The African wild cat is sandy brown to yellow grey in colour, with black stripes on the tail. The fur is shorter than that of the European subspecies and it is considerably smaller. Today's domestic cats are generally believed to be descendants of the African Wild Cat. Apart from the obvious difference in their ear coloration and the longer legs, the African Wild Cat is easily mistaken for a domestic cat.
