The Miley is an urban wildilfe reserve managed and maintained by the Scottish Wildlife Trust and runs from Clepington Road (opposite the back of the Kingsway retail park) in the north, below Harefiled road and down to Old Kings Cross Road, off Loons Road in the south. Parking is available at either end. Access can also be gained from Harefield Road opposite the old council depot.
The Miley uses the old trackbed of the long defunct Dundee to Newtyle railway to provide a wildlife corridr and peaceful haven from the urban sprawl around it. It is popular with dog walkers and is host to an abundance of wildlife - both flora and fauna, with urban foxes regular visitors.
