This cache is not at the posted coordinates, but they are a very good place to park to get to the cache.
The Carolina Thread Trail is a series of interconnected greenways, trails, and blueways. This particular segment of trail covers 2.2 miles along the South Yadkin River. This segment of trail is home to numerous hardwood trees and riparian forests. There are numerous species of plants, birds, and other animals. The trail is easy to follow and the majority is well shaded for a nice hike nearly any time of the year. There is great information about this portion and the rest of the Thread Trail project at http://www.carolinathreadtrail.org
We decided to place a whole series of caches along this trail segment to draw attention to this segment of trail and the Carolina Thread Trail system as a whole. We hope you enjoy these caches and the trail.
