We have only moved to the South West in the last couple of years and Geocaching has been an excellent way to get to know the area.
Wellington - where we live, is a lovely small market town we had not even heard of until we moved here.
If you look online there are plenty of sites explaining what Wellington has to offer - including local shops and restaurants, nice parks and a museum!
The first set of caches I ever did were in Nynehead - just by here with some fascinating industrial archaeology right in the middle of the countryside!
If you have not done them I recommend them - starting with http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC2HNBV_nynehead-lift
The location of this cache shows the developments currently happening in the area. The large estate the other side of the road is only about 5 years old and most of the fields behind where you are currently have planning permission being sought.
After doing this cache Wellington itself is a short drive - with an increasing amount of caches being placed here as well.
Enjoy the cache.
No prize for the FTT except Kudos! (cache is too small!)
