This cache is a small LnL placed atop the 2,700 meter summit of The Rimwall, a fantastic cliffy peak located south of Canmore. It was placed in celebration of my 24th birthday! The Rimwall is a moderate scramble and is about 7.3 kilometers in length return trip with an elevation gain of approximately 1,000 meters. This took us just over 4 hours going at a rather quick pace.
The Rimwall as seen from Highway 1:
The Rimwall is a moderate scramble that can be made much more difficult with improper routefinding. I have added several waypoints of cairns which will help direct you onto the moderate scramble route. I somewhat disagree with the route description in Alan Kane's "Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies", as I believe mine is easier and involves less distance and total elevation gain. However, you can refer to Kane's book as an additional resource.
Enjoy this great summit and remember to stay away from the 300 meter cliff!
