It's a "Z"oo in Here...


Old rail bed


Another cache along the old train bed from the bygone days when cottagers and campers would take the train to the beach.

Please use the trailhead off Irving Bay. There is a trailhead to the west as well, but finding it from David Road is difficult and it feels like you're cutting across someone's driveway to get to it.


Cache attached to a tree right along the trail. Focus on the north side of trail. You do not need to leave the trail at all.

You may encounter wildlife along this trail, particularly birds and other marsh creatures; an entire zoo’s worth. You should also expect lots of mosquitos.

This cache is NOT in the restricted part of Victoria Beach, so vehicle access is possible year-round. However, parking in front of cottages could be a problem, especially in the summer months. To be safe, it's best to park on Highway 59, but obey the "No Parking" signs.
