This is a beautiful area of Hsinchu County. You can bring a picnic (no BBQs!) and relax in the pavilion by the dam or under the shelters in the park area below the dam. A few years ago, before I could read the Chinese on the signs, my family and I had a BBQ right close by the cache, in full view of all the security cameras. Nobody said anything but I feel bad now that I know better. If you want a nice hike, you can walk on the road that circles the reservoir. There are some nice views of the lake.
There is no need to walk on grass or dirt to collect this cache. Please bring a pen/pencil. Feel free to post pics of the log sheet but please do not post pictures of the cache container.
