Geocache Description:

This 2 stage multi cache commemorates the achievement of backfromcali finding their 1000th cache.

We have had the opportunity of being with them on quite a few finds and our enjoyment of Geocaching has grown in large part to the family geo-outings in which we have participated. In less than a year's time backfromcali has completed this milestone – so CONGRATS!!!

The San-nauk Forest Preserve is a great spot for a variety of family activities. Recently I discovered that there is also a bit of history about the state of Illinois commemorated here.

Stage 1 will take you to place where you can find answers to the following:

A: This spot is the actual location of:

The originally proposed northern boundary of Illinois (Use 2)
The final resting place of Nathaniel Pope (Use 3)
A main station of the underground railroad (Use 4)

B: How many miles of land were added to Illinois by changing the boundary?

44 miles (Use 3)
53 miles (Use 2)
61 miles (Use 1)

X: Legislation mentioned on the plaque was passed on which date?

April 8, 1818 (Use 8)
April 18, 1818 (Use 9)
April 28, 1818 (Use 7)

Y: The commemorative plaque was placed in which year?
