Power can be a wonderful thing when you have it!
At GZ you will be able to honor the value of power and to maybe feel the electricity in the air.
Recently, we experienced an AMAZING event here in New England. There was a power struggle that made the news and involved the ownership of one of the local companies. Apparently the struggle went back several years in this family-run chain of supermarkets. Recently, however, one family member managed to oust his cousin who was the CEO of the company. Changes were looming for the future as to how the company would be run. The employees of this company loved their former CEO so much that they (en mass) walked off their jobs, called in sick and put up picket lines outside almost EVERY store in this company's chain.
This was quite an unusual twist in work stoppages, as the employees were in total SUPPORT of their beloved (but fired) CEO and they refused to work for the new management team. Staff cuts had to be made, because deliveries stopped coming and even the company's CUSTOMERS joined the protest effort and stood firmly behind these employees. This protest continued for a full six weeks while the stores were mostly devoid of customers and products to sell to them. Rumors of a company collapse ran rampant near the end of this struggle, while the store management sides bartered back and forth trying to solve the problems and get the company back to normal.
Many pundits and most of the customers were starting to fear a total bankruptcy and shut-down of the popular store chain. Ultimately, about a week before this cache was published, an agreement was reached. The former CEO purchased a majority share of the company's ownership, and the employees and customers (including us) started returning in droves, wearing broad smiles as things started to get back to normal.
The message here is that PEOPLE do have POWER in this country and when they stand strongly together for what they believe in, great things can be accomplished!!! United they stood; ultimately they prevailed!
We salute ALL of the people who stood tall and proud (employees, customers, vendors, etc.) who never flinched amid threats of them being fired and replaced. Finally, they prevailed and it looks like the whole matter has ended on a positive note for the betterment of us all!!!
The cache was placed today, after permission was received from this store's Assistant Manager. PLEASE be respectful of the area around GZ. This cache is meant to be found.
