Parcul "Regina Maria" face parte din centura de parcuri amenajate de-a lungul canalului Bega fiind cel mai vechi parc din oraş.
Este fondat la 1850 prin intervenţia guvernatorului de atunci, contele Johann von Coronini-Cronberg, al carui nume de altfel il va purta – Parcul Coronini.
De-a lungul timpului a avut mai multe nume, fiind cunoscut in perioada postbelica drept Parcul Poporului iar in prezent poarta numele de Parcul "Regina Maria".
Park "Queen Mary" is part of the parks belt along the Bega channel and is the oldest park in the city.
It was founded in 1850 by the intervention of the then governor, Count Johann von Coronini-Cronberg, whose name otherwise it will wear - Coronini Park.
Over time it has had several names, being known as People's Park after the WW2 war and is now called the Park "Queen Mary".
