Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel are an English rock band from the early 1970s. Their music covers a range of styles from pop to progressive rock. Over the years they have had five albums in the UK Albums Chart. In the 70s when  i was more into Quo and Queen my mate said he would go to the Status Quo concert if i went to see Cockney Rebel, not knowing much about them i decided to go and boy im glad i did...that man Steve Harley sure knows how to woo a crowd ( unlike quo as it turned out ) 3 encores kept the Apollo crowd extatic and from that day on i was a fan. Seen him in the 90s at the civic ctr in Motherwell..the sound not as good as the old Apollo but great none the less. One of my favourite songs of his is an album track called SABASTIAN and if your unfortunate not to have heard it then i suggest you do.
