Geocache Description:

Another in our occasional series of history...

On our way back to somewhere, we found this cool building.
So, now there is a cache here for you to enjoy also! :-)

How long ago did they vacate the building?
Why did they abandon it?
What was it used for?

So many questions, so few answers. So please post any info you may have of this site. Thanks

The cache is accessible without entering the grounds. Please do not enter the property without seeking the landowner's permission first.

Please re-hide the cache out of sight.

This is a busy road, so please pull off fully (space at GZ) and perhaps don't stop if the children insist on getting out of the car!!

Some info from Cherryrose...
I have got to know the owners of the land the OLD Cottage stands on. It was a cottage that the Railway workers lived in many years ago. It was part of a row of Cottages that was called the Mt Barker Junction Railway Siding. There was even a School & Church beside Altmann Road. People by the name of Altmann own the property & grow potatoes there. Just a few interesting facts you may interested in.
