A cache placed at the remnants of a clubhouse that I built with family and friend when we were about 12-13yrs old. Back then, it was okay for kids to run off into the woods until dark. And if you were lucky enough...even after dark some nights! The East Juniata Jumps is what we called it....or The Jumps. Named because it was a great place to ride motorcycles and 4 wheelers.
When the clubhouse was built, it was two stories high. We had a downstairs and upstairs. Very few pieces of it are still there. It was very moving as an adult to go back to a place that you spent so much time as a kid and see bent over nails that us youngsters couldn't drive into the pieces of wood and tree. The Clubhouse is gone. But the trees have stood the test of time. You will find a small lock n lock box with a few small trade items. Please replace just as found.
Yes, we played in a old dump. And of course, jerks add to it to this day. But it was where we ran as kids. I would suggest no dogs in case of glass. Minimal Bushwhacking needed. Paths will take you to less than 100ft from cache.
