Good news - COFFEE..... AND COINS!
It is October and the leaves are falling all around us, in Germany there are many cachers joining together for the Geocoinfest Mega event. There the pride of many people’s geocoin collections will be discovered, traded and envied over in the lovely autumnal surrounds of Ulm, Baden-Württemberg. While we would all love to be there it is just a little too far for most of us, so if you can't make it there why not come down to this “mini mega” or “kleine mega”?
It will be held at Costa Coffee in the retail park near Netherfield (The main one not the small one in the tesco store) at 9:30am until 11:30am.
The location has been selected as it has free parking, has good disability access, is relatively easy to get to and staff love having us around! The time is chosen so people still have time to go off and do their own geocaching thing for the day!
You are under no pressure to purchase a drink or food, the venue are happy to have us as usual.
Feel free to pop in anytime between 9.30am and 11:30am and bring your trackables, TBs and geocoins!
The event is held at the coordinates but use the following address for car GPS devices: 40 Victoria Park Way, Nottingham NG4 2PE.
Other transport links are available including local busses. East Midlands Trains stop at Netherfield Station and Carlton Station however there is a walk from the stations to the retail park, people with mobility problems will be better off getting a local bus to the park.
A “true” D1 T1 event with great disability access, facilities and wheelchair friendly serving counter. The counter at the till is not wheelchair height but staff are mindful of this and of auditory and other non visible disabilities, providing discrete table service for those who require it or find it easier.
Please note that there is no disabled changing place available at the store only the usual bathroom facilities.
