This cache is placed very near to the ghost station called newhaven marine. this station no longer has customers but 2 trains stop here every day,(07.36am and 19.52) this is so the station can be classed as "operational" as the train company cant afford to demolish the building.
the station has been closed since 2006.
we have seeked permission to place this cache from southern railways,the station master, uk border agency and the security of newhaven port. as we didnt want to cause a alert.
we wanted to place this cache in the station itself,but due to its fragile state we were not allowed.
when you have found the cache, continue round to the train station and go over the level crossing and follow the car park round to the ghost station. you are allowed to pictures of the station but please dont go under the beams. this takes less than 2mins to walk
the station is wheelchair friendly but you wont wont be able to retrive the cache. plenty of space for swaps.
