There is parking at the Dam at Setter. The dam provided water for a small area and the slaughter house before a public water supply for the whole village became available. During the 1970s the dam provided fresh water for the oil supply ships at the Broonies Taing harbour.
Setter was commonly used in Shetland place names. In Sandwick we find Swinister, Veister and Cullister. These names are all derived from the Norse word Setr meaning hill farm.
The cache is a cylinder type plastic container with a push on lid. The container is magnetic.
