Geocache Description:

You're looking for an ammo can painted camo. It's off the trail a bit but an easy find. I am trying to keep this cache military themed. I am asking that it be a drop only cache with just the adding of military items if the cache ever gets full then then trade all you want. So bring your unit patch or other military related items and hit the trail.

This cache is dedicated to the men and women who served in all branches of service in every country. The silent sentinels who guard the meek while they sleep. Those who put themselves in harms way and do not ask for thanks. They are everywhere around you and often overlooked. From your barber to the little old woman who lives down the street. If you don't believe me just listen to this. When I was a small boy I had the same barber for years, a nice old polish man I finally noticed a faded tattoo on his forearm. I asked my father about it because it didn't make sense to me? Who would want to put a long number on their arm? My father told me he didn't do it, it was the Nazi's who did after he was caught as a resistance member and placed in a death camp. Or how about this, later on in life I was in my army uniform out in town and as I was in an elevator a very nice gray haired grandmotherly woman commented on my dress uniform. She was so tiny and frail with age. I told her thank you but I had started my service in the Marin Corp and I still preferred my Marine Corps dress blues. Her response was a quiet but failure greeting "OOh Ra". as I raised an eyebrow I turned to her and extended a hand and said "Marine Corp Sargent Lopez" she shook my hand and responded "Marine Corp Staff Sargent Elaine Gonzales" she was a Vietnam veteran she severed two tours in the Marines and was even awarded the purple heart for being wounded when there field hospital was almost over run during the Tet offensive. There are countless more that stand among us and if you ever by chance find one just tell them thank you. Update: congratulations to Triple Trouble Weims for the FTF. I would like to thank you all for respecting the cache and keeping its integrity. thank you all so much and keep on caching
