A second class cadet, C2C or junior, now has a higher role as a non-commissioned officer. They work under the seniors, who are officers, and perform leadership roles and administrative tasks. They usually serve as element leaders which consist of 10 cadets. They are starting to decide which Air Force career they want to pursue while completing many academic courses in their declared major. Shoulder boards: Ground, cloud, horizon, chevrons
