This cache has been archived.

queenofscots: due to a series of unfortunate circumstances,my most popular cache GC7FY6T/less than 9 feet, measure it!! (richmond cachemas 2017) was recently disabled, archived & locked by HQ and YetAnotherReviewer after 5 1/2 years and over 30% FAV points ....therefore, I am choosing to also archive ALL of my active virginia geocaches, including LABs effective september 1st.....

Geocache Description:

can’t go to ORANGE, CT,  this week to visit the PEZ factory???……

well, come find this cache in ORANGE county, virginia and SWAP 1 of yours for 1 of mine!!!

check out the ruins of Urquhart Cemetery nearby either before or after you earn a 'smiley'!!

family friendly cache placed along the orange trail not too far off the path...... container has an assortment of PEZ containers that i have collected/traded for as i have geocached my way around the USA...... please DO NOT leave other types of SWAG........ if you take a PEZ, please leave one so that the next finder has an assortment to choose from...... trackables and path tags are welcome to visit, but please move them along!! yes, i put a pen in the container, but a wise geocacher always brings their own

although there is no hunting at the foundation, there is at least 1 hunting stand on the property so wear ORANGE during hunting season!  .... trails are maintained by the Germanna Foundation**

Germanna Foundation has given permission for Geocachers to enter the No Trespassing areas......you may park at the Foundation building (GC3EXQ3) or in Germanna Community College parking.......  if foundation parking is closed, proceed to college....... daylight hours only!!!

**The Germanna Foundation owns and manages 179 acres of forested land called Siegen Forest located between the Rapadan River and Virginia Route 3 in Orange County, Virginia, which was part of the original Germanna tract on which Lt. Governor Alexander Spotswood and the Virginia General Assembly settled the first colonies of Germans in 1714 and 1717. The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club helps the Germanna Foundation maintain almost 5 miles of walking trails that wind through these woodlands.
