Geocache Description:

This geocache is hidden in the Turtleback Mountain Preserve, one of my favorite places in the San Juan Islands.

With 3 excellent viewpoints from the North Trailhead it is worthwhile to allow plenty of time to take it all in.

It is a 2.7 miles hike each way (5.5 miles round trip) from the North Trailhead and 4.2 miles each way (8.5 miles round trip) from the South Trailhead. Either way you go there is about 1000 feet of elevation gain. The views at the end are worth it. The trails are in great shape and offer much variety.

The cache is hidden just before entering the fragile meadow and viewpoint.

The North Trailhead is off Crow Valley road just South of the Crow Valley schoolhouse.

To get to the South Trailhead follow Deer Harbor Road West to Wild Rose Lane. Take Wild Rose lane 0.1 mile North to the parking lot.
