This geocache is a two-stage multi with a final located several kilometres to the Northwest. Obviously, parking is on 101 Street so do NOT stop on the highway! There is no logbook in the first stage so remember that in order to log a "found it", you have to sign the logbook at the final cache. This was originally placed for the CCARF14 event under the "legitimately lime green" category.
Some of my favourite video games as a kid came from Nintendo's Mario series, and this cache pays tribute to one of the most well-known video game characters.
Third time's the charm! Originally next to the elbow river, stage 1 moved in December 2017 to a small ravine in Pinebrook Estates. Now it moved again in June 2024 to a quick park and grab off 101 Street. The first stage is a size small, containing an object with coordinates to the final. Please replace exactly as you found and leave the object behind to let others enjoy the find.
On approach to the final, park on the South side of the road at a pullout just West of the cache. You can then walk along the road until directly North of the cache, where there is a good spot to enter and begin the search. Be aware of barbed wire once near the cache. At this stage, Mario will help you get a powerup so you can sign the log! This container has a logbook only, so please bring your own pencil. Make sure not to overtighten the lid - it's a little finicky and sometimes gets stuck.
If you're successful in signing the log, you'll get a 1UP to your find count! Enjoy the hunt!
