Geocache Description:

Located at the back of Albert Park is a row of Poplar trees boardering the fence onto the tram tracks. This area is lined with a walking/ cycling track. This is the second in the series of "Perfect caching Trees starting with P" Also known as "Perfect P Trees".

Poplar trees are all members of the genus Populus, a term that means "many of" in Latin, in general these trees grow fast and propagate easily, but have powerful, suckering roots that can turn a row of poplars into a gardener's nightmare. They are often used on farms as windbreaks. This area of Albert Park gets busy aound the Grand Prix period and it will be muggle central on sunny weekends as there are lots of sporting activities taking place on the nearby ovals. Parking can be done for free along Canturbury Road, it is then just a short walk across the tram tracks at Fraser station. Please replace cache, ensuring natural camoflague is in place. The containers lid is a pop top but please be careful not to break lid when opening container. Pencils are included. Thanks and enjoy.
