Located a short walk from Mapperley car park through Shipley Country Park.
If you are lucky enough to visit in the Spring time the snowdrops along the way give one of the best displays in the county. Look for the sign for Beggar's walk and start counting. Be aware that you are retracing the steps taken by miner's wives looking for handouts from the kitchen of the squire's house during the miners' strike. Please keep to the footpath and do not disturb the wall as far as possible. Many thanks to Michelle and the Rangers at Shipley Country Park for all their help with this cache.
