Permission has been granted to place 2 caches along the trail with the caveat geocachers will use the existing trail to access the caches and not create new trails by bushwhacking from the road.
The name of this cache was created by the Creston National Fish Hatchery personnel and they have the following information to pass on to you......
"Native pollinator populations including honey bees and butterflies have declined precipitously over the past decade. In 2013 scientists recorded extremely low numbers of monarch butterflies on their wintering grounds, representing a 90% decrease in populations since the mid 1990's. Limiting factors are numerous including loss of food sources, development of open land, shifts in agricultural practices, land management activities, use of insecticides and herbicides, and changing weather patterns. Please spread the word about the plight of the pollinators and do whatever you are able to reverse this alarming trend"
From this parking spot you can access 2 other caches in the area - GC2GK4P and GC5CQ43
