St John`s Rheinthal Church
The Church and School was built in 1876. The Church and School building was built on 3 acre block. The Church and School was built out of pug and pine and the living quarters for the school teacher was made out of limestone with a galvanized roof.
The Rheinthal School was the only school in the district until 1895 the transferred to Rhine Villa (Cambrai).
There are only two graves and only one has a head stone out in the paddock which is the original cemetery. They had the cemetery to move to another location because of the lime stone.
On the head stone Friedrich Bartusch, Born on 19 June 1851; he died on 18 Dec 1877. Friedrich was the second one to be buried his sister Anna was the first.
