Geocache Description:

This is a historical site  Look out for Snakes

If u would like to walk to the springs Please look out for snake recomened to walk in winter. You walk through the gate and follow the road until you come to end of the road a creek cross the creek and head to the left. If you open the gate please close it. And you are at the springs it 1km walk. On the other side there is a stone well, that is where the early settlers came for water in the area.

The wagons would pull up alongside the platform and the hand operated wheel and chain pump would fill the tanks at the rate of approximately 1 gallon a turn. The hand operated wheel and chain pump can be seen at the Towitta Park. Then years late a bore was place there you can still see were the bore was place up by the small water falls under a gum tree.

Had lots of fun playing around here when I was a kid. Then brought my children and grandchildren here as well to play around and catch yabbies by hand.
