This cache is placed on my loop of caches that is not accessible by motor vehicle. Hiking only. You should park at the highway's OHV parking area. Not far from the cache sight, you'll see the strength of mother nature. Large trees were knocked over one on top of the other like dominoes. The trees were toppled onto the upended roots of others. It's an amazing sight.
Start your hike from the highway. Go up the main trail until you get to a trail marker on the left that takes you to Metate Rest cache. Continue up this hiking trail until you reach a junction. There will be directional posts sending you straight ahead or to the right. The cache is near at this junction. Spend a bit time looking at the evidence of high winds and shallow root systems. Be sure to bring water.
Follow the trail to the right for other caches.
