Geocache Description:

A stroll along the beach and a log to sit on and view the green flash.

A small fun cache with some local treasure. Walk along the beach from north or south and the cache can be found behind the log. This cache can be located at any time but it is best searched for just before sunset. The log makes an excellent seat to wait for sunset and to spot the fabled green flash.

I have to confess that I am no longer looking after this cache. I left the islands a while ago. Someone else has taken over looking after it. I am very grateful to them for taking over. I am especially amazed that this cache, as it is very vulnerable to the weather, especially heavy seas, is still appreciated. Despite that geocachers are still finding it and saying how much they enjoy the location. It was beautiful when I was there and I have no doubt it will remain so for a long time. UPDATE - THE LOG "SEAT" HAS BEEN WASHED FURTHER ALONG THE BEACH AND IS NO LONGER ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CACHE. THE CACHE IS AT THE SAME CO ORDINATES BUT NOW BY/IN THE SMALL TREE GROWING NEXT TO THE WALL. THE VIEW IS STILL JUST AS GOOD THOUGH. (THANKS TO TALLPINE 27 AND GTISLAND GIRLS FOR THEIR HELP IN MAINTAINING THE CACHE). Further update as at February 2022 - More bad weather has made the original site untenable. The cache has been moved approximately 400ft to the south. It is now just past the unfinished house on top of a rock filled cage, It is under some vegetation, tied to it with string and is in a plastic peanut butter jar. NEW CO ORDINATES N 021 27.251 W 71 8.989. You can ignore the Hint !
