How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This series challenges you with a number of tasks, not the least of which is to hike all the way from the Shoreline (aka Burrard Inlet) to the Skyline, which in this case is the top of Skyline Trail in North Vancouver. Traversing a total distance of 8 kilometres, you will face an elevation gain of about 880 metres. The wise cacher will split this adventure into manageable sections. The rest of you should carry plenty of food and water.

Along the way, you will discover a few caches that contain clues you need to collect, others that are not what they seem to be, and a couple that we hope will make you smile.

MOSQUITO CREEK TRAIL WELCOMES CYCLISTS RIDING UPHILL ONLY BETWEEN MOSQUITO CREEK PARK AND PALISADE DRIVE.

From time to time when we are out caching we come across certain types of hides that we enjoy immensely, and we remember them fondly. This cache is our tribute to one such series, and we hope it will make you smile. The hint will absolutely give it away so please read it only if you are completely stuck. Thanks for the inspiration, Margaret!

Watch out for muggles. This is an extremely popular area for dog owners to bring their four-footed friends to frolic in the creek.

We hope you enjoy this series. Remember to cache safely by always being aware of your surroundings, and please put the cache back as you found it.
