Castleben Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Antheia: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Westmount Park is a wooded slope on the West side of St Helier . The park is full of criss-crossed tarmac paths - this cache is NOT on one of those paths but is along a well-trodden trail between the main routes. When you hit the co-ordinates you will be afforded a spectacular private view of an iconic Jersey scene.

There are FIVE entrances to the park, 3 from St Aubin's Rd where the centre one has no steps and so is ideal for pushchairs and wheelchairs - but be warned, the paths all slope, some steeply, the fourth & fitfth entrances are from Westmount Road just after the hairpin bend where there is often space to park a car (if not there is a disc-zoone another 200 yards further up the hill on the left). Keep your eyes open for Red Sqirrels and other wildlife - nice to see so close to town.

The cache is mid-sized container with a few swaps, log book and pencil. Getting to it is slightly off the main paths so tread carefully.
