The Flesherton Coomunity Pond has been a favourite spot for both swimming and fishing.
In years past (when people had to rely on newspapers for the news) the pond featured not only a sandy beach but both a high diving board and raft for the benefit of swimmers. Apparently, concerns about liability caused both the diving board and raft to be removed. But that doesn't stop people using the pond to cool off on a hot summer's day.
The pond is also stocked with fish so the opening of fishing season sees lots of fisherman out to try their skill and luck, The pond is also used by enthusiasts to race their model speedboats and sailboats around pylons. Add a few canoe or kayaks and there's lots to see and/or do at "The Pond".
