Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache hidden outside a local museum near some of their reconstructed buildings.  You will need to bring your own pen/pencil. Please search for this during daylight only. Should be a quick park and grab for most.

There are several interesting things to see in this one quiet spot.  The reconstructed buildings here are from the Austin homestead. The cabins built in the 1800's. This is the same Austin that established Austin, TX.  The nearby Jeff Matthews Museum is full of interesting local history including thousands of Native American artifacts. The Arts & Cultural Council of the Twin Counties recently constructed an amphitheater for future outdoor performances. The newly built Blue Ridge Veteran's Memorial and the Galax public library are also nearby.  A special thank you to the museum staff for allowing this cache to be placed here.

Enjoy and keep caching!
