Piazza dell’Arsenale è la piccola piazza che fa da anticamera al quartiere storico di Castello. Si affacciano su di essa quattro porte: Porta Arsenale o della Zecca, Porta Cristina, Porta San Pancrazio e l'arco della Salita S'avanzada, la cui porta fu demolita agli inizi del '900.

Per conoscere la parte finale delle coordinate EST dovrete andare alle coordinate date. Da lì per buona parte dell'anno, in certi orari e SOLO PER POCHI SECONDI è infatti possibile osservare proprio le tre cifre mancanti delle coordinate Est.
Seguite attentamente queste istruzioni:
1) recatevi alle coordinate date (Piazza Arsenale, in particolare Porta Cristina, ovvero l'ingresso a Castello per chi viene da Viale Buoncammino) alle h11:10 o alle h16:10 in un giorno di primavera, estate o inizi autunno (ottobre).
2) Trovate una posizione comoda in cui sedervi sul lato Ovest. Ci sono dei gradini, se sono occupati trovate un'altra soluzione, basta che sia rivolta
verso est (Porta S'avanzada) e vi garantisca una visuale abbastanza aperta su ciò che avete davanti che deve risultare più o meno come nella foto del
Viewpoint. Mi raccomando, anche se sembra scomodo, guardate proprio a oriente o almeno fatelo spesso. Vedrete probabilmente un fiume di gente, gruppi, turisti, NON fatevi distrarre.
3) entro circa 5-10 minuti dovrebbero comparire una B e una C, a voi serve prendere nota del numero che segue immediatamente le due lettere. Il numero sarà visibile solo per pochi secondi quindi siate pronti e attrezzati ad annotare o fotografare l'evento!
Se non succede niente, aspettate ancora, fino a 20 minuti dal vostro arrivo. Se non avete visto niente probabilmente eravate distratti, oppure le condizioni non lo permettevano. Non recatevi a cercare il cache se la giornata è particolarmente brutta. Talvolta il numero segreto è visibile anche durante altri orari e giorni, a intervalli di circa 1 ora, quindi non scoraggiatevi se non potete andare agli orari indicati, andate lì 1 ora prima o 1 ora dopo e magari qualcosa accadrà!
Attenzione: L'evento non si verifica con certezza assoluta. In piena estate è più facile che si verifichi tutti i giorni; in primavera e ad ottobre l'evento può non verificarsi per un giorno intero/ogni 7 giorni, per cui sappiate che potrà essere necessario tornare per 2 giorni consecutivi. Da novembre a fine marzo non si verifica proprio.
Aiutini:
- sia le lettere che i numeri non devono intuirsi. Richiedono un po' di attenzione ma si vedranno molto chiaramente.
- se, una volta ottenute le coordinate, avete dubbi sulla via più breve, cercate dei gradini: vi mostreranno la via
- dal Viewpoint il punto finale dista circa 200 mt.
- Si sconsigliano i tacchi per le geo-girl. Consigliatissimo in coppia o in gruppo ;-)
- arrivati alle coordinate, NON cercate sotto il metro circa di altezza, attirereste soltanto lo sguardo sospettoso dei muggles.
