Geocache Description:

The large rock you see to the West is known as a "glacial erratic" and is part of a chain that runs through Alberta, known as the Foothills Erratics Train. They were transported on top of glaciers, and left on the prairie as the glaciers melted. You may be familiar with the Okotoks rock, which is also an erratic but much bigger than this local one!

We call this #1 as we plan to place a few more near some local erratics.

There is a small pullout for vehicles about 200 metres South of the cache location. Use caution if you have to cross the highway. Alternatively you could park on the shoulder of the West side of the road. The cache is not hard to find, and be sure to check out the big rock!
