Go to the posted coordinates, in the dark, and look around with your flashlight at shoulder level. You are looking for ice firetacks that reflect bright white.
Go to the first ice firetacks location, scan around looking for the next ice firetacks and walk to it, from there look for the next ice firetacks and so on. Keep leapfrogging to the cache. You never have to backtrack.
The final cache location is indicated with 4 ice firetacks that are arranged vertically.
The firetacks will be difficult to find during daylight.
The cache is a small plastic container with logbook and pencil. The cache and firetacks are at a winter friendly height.
The 4.5 star terrain rating is due to walking in the dark. Please watch your step and look for low branches. Happy Cachin'.
To get your smiley, it is as important to log your find physically by signing the log book as it is to create your digital log. If you digitally log a geocache without meeting these requirements (also known as couch logging), your log can be deleted by either the cache owner or Geocaching HQ without notice.
All good cachers will always carry a writing implement and also replace the cache "exactly" where they found it!
