Another simple hide on one of my favourite dog walking routes. This is not far from my "Blooming" caches, but not in Bloom Woods this time, hence the name.
This path is a little overgrown near its'southern end but opens up into fields. Please keep dogs under control; the horses in one of the fields have been injured by dogs a few times and their owner is getting restless, so leads are a good idea if you do not have total trust in your dog. (The horses are fenced away from the path and so will not come closer than about 10m; no need to be afraid of them).
If you get up early this is a great place to see deer, they can usually be seen in these fields around dawn and, on occasion, I have managed to get within 20 yards of them. Red kites are also prolific in this valley and can often be seen roosting in the trees near the southern end of the path. Lucky early risers may also spot badgers around the edge of the woods to the west.
The cache itself is large enough for a few small swaps or TBs. There was a pencil in it when hidden, but a wise cacher always brings one, just in case.
