Placed in memory of our family chocolate Labrador ‘Thornton’, who always enjoyed walking in this area, and therefore it is specifically aimed at dog walkers (although can be enjoyed by anybody). This is a medium sized cache with room for swapables – please try and keep these dog related. I have started this off as the FTF will see, please keep this going. PLEASE ENSURE THE CACHE IS WELL HIDDEN WHEN YOU LEAVE.
This Geocache takes you high up on Caradon Hill, giving fantastic views of the area. From here you can easily see other areas of the moor, including Minions and the Cheesewring, Darite,St Cleer, Liskeard, Pensilva and much further afield on a fine day. The cache is located on rough moorland terrain on the edge of a disused quarry, and will require an uphill walk in order to reach it. Please be aware that weather conditions can change rapidly in this area. Please keep away from the edge of the quarry, this cache does not require you to go into the quarry, near to the steep edges or to climb over any of the piled up rocks. Please exercise caution in this area and keep dogs on leads around livestock.
