Geocache Description:

A cache and dash, should be an easy one for all the family.  This is a small cache, close to the road, so please take care of children.

Vine Avenue is near to Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Ground. The cricket ground is one of the oldest venues in the country.  It was given to the town in 1773 by John Frederick Sackville, 3rd Duke of Dorset.  Vine Avenue, and the land upto and including the cricket ground, was thought previously to have been used as a vineyard for the Archbishops of Canterbury (hence the name).

Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club pay Sevenoaks Town Council a rent of 1 peppercorn per year for the use of the ground
