Geocache Description:

N 40* 21.492 W 079*39.187 are not the correct coordinates. You can stand here if you want and dream or reminisce.  The real coordinates are N 40* 21.5AB W 079* 39.1CD.  Your looking for a bison tube container. This cache will be easiest to get in the morning or when the kids are in school. Sometimes you can't get this cache due to intense muggle activity. If this is the case please just walk away and try another time.

Greg Brown has been a Pirate broadcaster from 1994-Preasent. His style is to say the least exuberant. From his home run call "Clear the deck, cannonball coming!" to "It's a trip-trip-triple!" when a Bucco player hits a triple. If the Pirates win they “Raise the Jolly Rodger”. If you like him he has style, if you don’t he is corny. He has had the unfortunate duty to have called 19 {1994-2012} years in a row of Pirate losing seasons.

Greg Brown has not called the exploits of any Hall of Famers. The best players he has seen to the publish date of this cache are:

2013 NL M.V.P. Andrew McCutchen, 2006 NL Batting Title Freddy Sanchez, 2012 NL Gold Glove Center Fielder Andrew McCutchen, 2004 Rookie of the Year Jason Bay, 2012 Silver Slugger Andrew McCutchen, 2004 Silver Slugger Shortstop Jack Wilson, NL 2013 Manager of the Year Clint Hurdle. NL 2013 Home Run Champion Pedro Alvarez (Tie with 36), Gold Glove Left Fielder 2015, 2016 Starling Marte, 2018 Corey Dickerson.

Yeah, by far the best player the Pirates have had in the last 20+ years has been Andrew McCutchen. It’s been quite a dry spell as far as Bucco talent goes.

Simple baseball knowledge will get you the Smiley!

A. A runner on third with one out. The batter bunts the ball for the suicide squeeze. The pitcher like a puma fields the ball and flips it to the catcher who tags the runner out! How do you write this fielders choice in your score book? Add the numbers.

B. What does a perfect ERA look like? (That’s Earned Run Average)

C. A can of corn to the right fielder is scored how? (A can of corn = slang for a easy fly ball)

D. Rennie Stennet had 7 hits in one 9 inning game in 1975. One of only 3 players to ever do this. His bat is in the Baseball Hall of Fame. What number did Rennie ware when the Bucs pounded the Cubs at Wrigley Field 22-0.

Now go and get it. And remember a pen or pencil and tweezers.

The complete series dedicated to Pittsburgh Pirate broadcasters. “Raise the Window Aunt Minnie” GC5CV24 “Clear the Deck, Cannonball Coming” GC5CZ30 “You Can Kiss It Goodbye” GC5ETCF “Go Ball Get Outta Here – It’s Gone” GC5FC9H
