I decided one September day to head to Deer Isle to grab the good number of Caches on the island in an attempt to get closer to my 300 find mark. I have lived in this area for about 6 years and have crossed the bridge only once as I am almost never in this area. I do admit I find the bridge terrifying to cross and I could not imagine having to do it in the middle of winter with the ice and the wind and snow. My first stop was the "Bridge End" park just to the right after crossing over. I pulled in and was amazed to find there were no Caches within the general area!
After spending the morning on the hunt I stopped here and placed this Cache!
Incredible views will be had here of the bridge and the busy bay, I walked around for a bit before finding the right spot.
I think seasoned and beginners will enjoy this hide as well as the amazing views!
The park is open dawn to dusk so please follow those guidelines, otherwise, enjoy!
