I bridge we used to call monkey bridge in my youth - An original East Lancashire Railway Bridge of 1846 known locally as the Monkey Bridge because of the cast iron 'cage-effect' and the fact that adventurous young men would swing on the underside of bridge right across the river Irwell.
We used to hangaround the middle parts of this when we was kids. Its also near the very interesting SCREW. A nice walk along the canal. Nearby tram stop so watch for muggles
