A few years ago we read a book called Last Child in the Woods. It opened our eyes to the lack of true outdoor experiences for our kids. We hope this series of three caches will awaken the adventurous side of more kids and their families and help them get back to nature. We have hiked these trails with our kids since they were very small. Take a look around as there are many awesome sights that nature provides us in the bush.
Unlike the first two caches in the series this one will require a brave cacher to do some climbing. Please take your time and place your feet and hands carefully. All the caches in the series are medium, camoed peanut butter jars. They are stuffed full of loot, a log and a pencil. All have been placed within 10m of the single track mountain bike trails of Hiawatha's Red Pine system. If you are on foot please be aware that you share these trails with bikes that can at times be moving quickly. There is plenty of parking on the south side of Fifth Line across from the sugar shack. The caches are not likely easily accessable in the winter. If you try however, snow shoes would definetly be required and please stay off of the groomed ski trails in the area.
Congrats to SSMTRVLR for FTF
