Geocache Description:

Approx 7.5km hike  over uneven, hilly terrain.  Definitely NOT A park and grab - bring a picnic lunch and plenty of water.

The Lavender Federation Trail (LFT) is named in honour of the late Terry Lavender OAM, the mastermind behind the famous South Australian Heysen Trail.  It commences in Murray Bridge, and the final destination is Clare.

This cache is placed on part of  the Truro-Eudunda section which has just been completed and will be officially opened on the 28th September 2014.

Park at the parking co-ordinates, cross over the stile and follow the LFT markers until you arrive at the cache location.  If you wish, you can continue on the trail as far as you like - if you keep walking you will eventually arrive at Murray Bridge!

The trail is suitable for walking between March and November, and is closed on days of boadcast fire ban. Contact the Fire Ban Hotline on 1300 362 361 if you are unsure.

Cache is a 1 litre sized Sistema.
