Before this road became Van Damme Road, it was the driveway to the home the young AdieA family lived in many years ago, as well as the driveway up to the original old Cape Dutch style manor house. When the jacarandas bloomed it was a sight to behold- the whole road flanked by these beautiful trees. Just behind where GZ is, there was a farm dam that our dogs used to swim in. When the rains came millions of baby frogs used to appear out of nowhere and man, it was difficult to miss them when driving home. When the suburb was developed we were very pleased to see how many of these old trees were saved.
