Geocache Description:

[ITA] Questa cache vi porterà ad attraversare la suggestiva passerella costruita con funi d'acciaio e grosse tavole di legno

[ENG] This cache will take you to cross the suggestive bridge built with steel ropes and large wood boards

[ITA] Pensavate di essere nell'ambientazione di un film di Indiana Jones.....e invece siete a Igne, frazione del comune di Longarone. La passerella permette di raggiungere la parte opposta della vallata , sede delle tipiche "casere" degli abitanti del posto (case di montagna, un tempo di appoggio al pascolo e alla pastorizia e ora spesso ristrutturate e adibite a case estive).
Mentre percorrete i 125 m della sua lunghezza vi troverete ad essere sospesi 120 m più in alto rispetto al torrente Maè (affluente della Piave, eh sì, questo fiume è una lei e non un lui come la maggior delle volte viene chiamata erroneamente) che scorre nel fondo della valle.
La passerella, per via della sua tipologia di costruzione, "balla" leggermente mentre la si attraversa e lo scricchiolio delle tavole di legno rende il tutto ancora più suggestivo :)

[ENG] Do you maybe thought to be in the setting of an Indiana Jones movie ..... and instead you are in Igne, in the municipality of Longarone. The walkway takes you to the opposite side of the valley, home of the typical "casere" of the locals (i.e. mountain huts, once used to support grazing and herding and now often renovated and used as summer houses).
As you walk the 125 m (about 137 yard) of its length you will be suspended 120 m (about 130 yard) higher than the river Mae (tributary of the Piave) that flows in the bottom of the valley.
The walkway, due to its construction, is moving slightly as you traverse it and the creaking of wooden boards makes it even more impressive :)
