Taz's Tree on the Aladdin Traditional Geocache

Please be safe! You really shouldn't be geocaching on the strip right now! This is a magnetic nano on the strip. The tree is not steel but the bolts are. Please note that GPSrs have a real hard time being acurate in this area. Readings can be off by 35'+ I have seen readings off by more than 200' at times. There are a lot of muggles in the area but they wont pay any attention to you, it's amazing how wrapped up people get when they are on the strip.

Yes there was another cache close by but they kept parking equipment in front of it with caution tape. After many failed tries to get a hold of the cache owner, it was decided just to place a new one and have the old one archived. I read each and every log and I love the photos, keep them coming! Now the Good Stuff! Originally opened as the Tally-Ho then renamed the Kings Crown. The Aladdin opened in 1966. It even hosted Elvis’s wedding to Priscilla. The old Aladdin had many issues in trying to stay open and at one time was owned partly by Wayne Newton. Eventually it went under and was imploded in April 1998. The new Aladdin was built and suppose to open in August 17^th 2000 at 6:00pm but was delayed while people stood outside waiting for it to open. The Miracle Mile Mall was originally called “The Desert Passage Mall”.  Eventually the Aladdin was sold and became Planet Hollywood on April 17^th 2007. It has changed ownership but still has the mall and casino under the same names.
