while up at Walupt Lake with our horses packing out a PCTA work crew there was space and time to take a side trip up a hill from the watering hole by the bridge to Walupt Lake.. should be a quick up and back , quite steep for some.
. when i first visited walupt lake horse camp in the '80s we had to ride our horses the mile from camp to the lake, morning and night. fun memories of sitting in the back of a truck leading the horses behind , and just getting back to camp by dark was exciting but maybe not so safe. Yrs pass and improvements happened, a trail to the lake was built to get the horses off the road and a well was drilled at the horse camp.. This cache is for all the memories of our hoofprints to water at Walupt lake.
