Fairy Lake Float
This is the fifth in a series of monthly floating events on Fairy Lake in Acton.
This event is a social gathering of like minded geocachers who also enjoy having a fun time kayaking and canoeing. The event takes place on Fairy Lake in Acton. Before and after the event you can enjoy your time exploring and paddling around the Lake. The best access point to Fairy Lake would be from the boat house (see additional waypoint) which is next to the parking lot within Prospect Park, although there are other spots to access the lake too. It is suggested that you use a kayak or canoe to get to the event as the event is on water. Motor boats are not allowed on Fairy Lake.
Date and Time
The event will take place from 6pm to 7pm on Monday, September 29, 2014.
Theme
The theme for this event will be a "dinner together" at a local restaurant to celebrate the last float of the season. I plan to book us some space at a local restaurant in the next few days. Please feel free to plan on joining us for a meal, or just come for the floating part. That's OK too!
Some will note that this event starts one hour earlier than the other events in this series. This is to accomodate for the earlier sunset this time of year.
In the event of unpleasant weather (rain, high winds, etc) the event will be postponed until the following day or week.
Dinner reservations have now been made at Tanner's, in Acton. The reservation is for 7:30pm.
