Wear blaze orange during all hunting seasons and please respect the rules and regs of the PA State Game Commission while searching for this cache. It's placed not far from parking along the North Country Trail. You'll know exactly where to head off from the trail when you see the fallen Goliath to your left, or right, depending on which way you go for this one. Putting the terrain level up a little so there's no surprises to anyone that encounters a bit of a challenge to their terrain skills. Honestly, if you're of able body to cross a tricky creek without getting wet, you'll traverse this slight challenge with ease.
The cache itself is in plain sight after you make a "log walk" from the "short trail". The North Country Trail crosses so many beautiful miles of our homelands. This is just another small piece that cachers can enjoy. This spot may get a larger container in the future, but this is all we had with us today. We were pressed for time and couldn't get back to Lynyrd(details about Lynyrd will come later) to add swag. There's room for trackables and small trades, so I'm going to list this as a regular, because it may become an ammo can very soon. We loved this spot and thought it would be fun to bring you plank-walking scally on another adventure, though it's pretty low-key, really. We thought walking the log was easier than whacking all that bush around GZ, so that's it, and there ya go! Another NCT smiley and hide # 253 from the McMartins. In answer to everyone's curiosity about whether we'll stop hiding once we hit 250.....NOPE....not a chance! Happy Hunting!
